Electrical system malfunction

Low battery power: Long term use, failure to charge in a timely manner, or leakage of electricity can all lead to low battery power. At startup, the inability to provide sufficient current makes it difficult for the unit to start. It can be checked by measuring the battery voltage. If the voltage is below the normal range, the battery needs to be charged or replaced with a new one.

Motor failure: Internal carbon brush wear and rotor jamming in the starter motor can cause the motor to malfunction. Check for any abnormal noise from the starter motor. If so, disassemble, repair or replace the starter motor.

Loose wiring connections: Loose, oxidized, or broken wiring connecting the battery, starter motor, and control circuit can hinder current transmission. Fuel injector malfunction: Carbon buildup, blockage, or insufficient injection pressure on the fuel injector can cause uneven or abnormal fuel injection. Clean the fuel injector with professional equipment and replace it if necessary.

Fuel pump malfunction: The fuel pump is unable to establish sufficient pressure to deliver fuel to the engine. Check the working condition of the fuel pump. If there are any problems, repair or replace the fuel pump.

Mechanical malfunction

Poor engine lubrication: Insufficient engine oil, deteriorated engine oil, or clogged oil filters can cause poor engine lubrication and increase starting resistance. Check the oil level and quality, and replace the oil and filter according to regulations.

Poor valve sealing: Poor valve sealing causes cylinder leakage, making it impossible for the engine to compress the air and fuel mixture properly. Check the sealing of the valve, grind or replace the valve components.

Environmental factors have an impact

Low temperature environment: Low temperature increases fuel viscosity, reduces battery performance, and increases start-up difficulty. In low temperature environments, preheating devices can be used to preheat the engine and fuel, or to install insulation sleeves on the battery.

High altitude areas: The air in high-altitude areas is thin and the engine intake is insufficient. The engine can be adjusted appropriately, such as increasing the fuel injection amount of the fuel injector, to adapt to high-altitude environments.

The reasons for the difficulty in starting the generator set are complex and require a comprehensive investigation. Daily maintenance and upkeep can reduce the occurrence of faults, ensure that the unit can start normally at any time, and provide reliable guarantee for power supply.
